East to Praa Sands<\/h2>\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Head up the hill and cross over the road near the cemetery to pick up the South West Coast path. The route is varied and interesting with dramatic coastal views, steep inclines and declines.\u00a0<\/p>

Coming across Prussia Cove for the first time was unforgettable and then the welcome sight of the golden stretch of Praa. A pint and meal at the Sand Bar afterwards is well deserved.\u00a0<\/p>

If you have two vehicles, go out earlier and leave on parked in Praa if the walk home is too much or get a cab or bus. If you fancy lunch or a cup of tea along the way there is The Victoria Inn and two cafes at Perranuthnoe.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

Mousehole to Lamorna<\/h2>\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Park somewhere in Mousehole and make your way west, up and out of the town heading to Lamorna. The South West Coast path is signposted. Climb up and onto the headland looking back over Mounts Bay. This is a really varied walk with very steep sections and the last part into Lamorna you are climbing over boulders. A little hair-raising and be careful if you have small children as there are some sheer drops. Well worth the effort of achieving it. Lamorna is very quiet with a cafe open during season. Head up inland to eventually come to the Lamorna Wink pub – opening hours may vary for both the cafe and pub so probably best not rely on them for food and drink. We really rate The Ship Inn in Mousehole for friendly service and great food.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Marazion to St. Ives<\/h2>\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Wow, this is an epic walk. A map will definitely be needed. It is a large part of St. Michael’s Way which is a pilgrimage route between Lelant and St. Michael’s Mount which is nearly 13 miles. History tells us that pilgrims walked from the north coast to St. Michael’s Mount to avoid the trecherous coastline on a boat.<\/p>

It is also part of the network of pilgrimage walks eventually leading to St James’ Cathedral in Santiago de Compostela otherwise known as the Camino Trail.<\/p>

Head out of Marazion towards Penzance and the route begins through the Marazion marshes on a boardwalk. It is signposted but you need eagle eyes. This is a whole day out, take food and water with you. Once you get to Carbis Bay area you can either head to Lelant or go in the opposite direction to St. Ives and enjoy some well earned fish and chips.<\/p>

A lovely morning or evening walk in Marazion, head out of the house and turn left. On the corner of St. Michael’s B&B (next to the church) walk up between the B&B and the church and follow your nose.\u00a0<\/p>

You’ll see and go past the Beacon and come out on the top of the hill. Wind you way down a tractor trail and eventually come out at the far end of Marazion and down Green Lane.<\/p>
