Supermarkets
Cobble Corner: the Post Office and small convenience store in Marazion. Good for emergency bread, eggs and butter and they do stock beer and wine.
Drive out toward Penznace and the first place you will come to is Long Rock. Here you will find all the major supermarkets, some with petrol stations and some useful large stores: Sainsburys, Morrisons, Lidl, Tesco, The Range, Dixons, B&M.
Pharmacies
The pharmacy in Marazion is open most days apart from Saturday afternoons and Sundays, they are friendly and helpful. Sainsburys has a pharmacy for out of usual hours.
Wet Suits
During peak season Sainsburys usually sells wetsuits at front of store. We have also bought wetsuits from West Cornwall Surf Company on St. Erth Industrial Estate where they have a vast range of all season suits. It is only 10 minutes up the road.
Railway Stations
Penzance is a mainline railways station that goes all the way to London. St. Erth is a small local station that allows you to easily get to St. Ives. Both are only a few minutes away. Both are served by cabs and buses, if you get on the right one the latter goes past the apartment.
Buses
Check out First Bus website for all the details on buses. There are couple of stops very close to the apartment. We have found the buses expensive but have only purchased single journeys so a bit of planning may make it more economic.
Taxis
There isn’t a large taxi firm in Marazion, best to ring a Penzance company. Try Penzance Taxis, Jolly Roger Cars or Kernow Cabs. If you want a lift back from a pub or restaurant they will be able to recommend a firm who works local to them.
